I played a lot of video games growing up. My brothers and I grew up in the golden era of video games. My brothers are always keen on trying new games, but since I tend to get really invested in a game's storyline, I prefer sticking to one, and finish it before playing other games haha. Some of my favourite PS1 games are Soul Edge, Parasite Eve and Final Fantasy VII.
Resident Evil, Final Fantasy and Tekken are my all-time favourite series! When I was younger I used to watch my brother play them (and I remember hiding under the blanket when the monsters came), when it comes to fighting games like Tekken or Soul Blade I used to only stick to my favourite character and mastering all the combos but still, my brother would beat my character every time, no matter which character he used (っ- ‸ – ς) lol now that I'm older we have a new routine: kick some monster butt in horror games.
Final Fantasy X was the first Final Fantasy I played. At first I was clueless when it comes to levelling up, so my brother told me he'd take care of the Sphere Grid and I should just...play the game lol. It was one of the best series of all time. I'm so glad there's a remastered version now. The ending gets me. every. time. *sniff
Recently I finished playing The Evil Within, I felt like I haven't played a decent horror game in a long time and I wasn't disappointed with this one. at. all. The plot and characters were very interesting, and the jumpscares were...brilliant, it deserves an award. . .
As many others have mentioned, this game gives you a Resident-Evil-combined-with-Silent-Hill vibe of some sort...I agree.
I really enjoy the God of War series as I have always had an interest in Greek mythology. The main character, Kratos, who was portrayed as an anti-hero, is seeking revenge against the gods in his pursuit of freedom. I heard there's going to be a new game, but with a Nordic theme rather than Greek. Maybe since all the Greek gods have died in the series? Haha
